Dear AAHE Members:

I feel very privileged and honored to assume the AAHE Executive Director position. We have had a great history of effective leaders in this position and I will do my best to uphold the traditions and the quality that have gone before me. While change can be an intimidating factor, it can also open new roads and opportunities that might not have been available in the past. Your leaders and Board of Directors are very committed to doing what is best for members and the profession of Health Education. The next few years might be a bit of a roller coaster ride, but I would suggest that we all try to enjoy it and see where we end up. I was taught very early in my career about the importance of contributing to professional organizations and throughout my 35 years in higher education I tried to model that commitment. Those efforts not only yielded benefits to our profession, but they brought me meaningful friendships and much personal satisfaction.
