Jennifer Miller isn't in the classroom every day, but she's still teaching. Her "students" these days are Future Educators Association(r) advisers.

Miller, the FEA state director for Kentucky and one of PDK's area directors, has been working with FEA for eight years as an academic administration program consultant for the Kentucky Department of Education in the Division of Educator Quality and Diversity.

"I still have the capacity to inspire young people to consider teaching as a career option," said Miller, a former kindergarten teacher and principal. "I still get to teach sessions and workshops to advisers. That's the joy in my job every single day."

Miller works with the eight public universities in Kentucky and two private institutions, Campbellsville University and Georgetown College, to ensure that FEA students have a seamless transition from high school to college.

"FEA would not be possible without the partnership that we have at those university levels," she said. …
