16th Annual Dickens Society Symposium: Saint Anselm College Manchester, New Hampshire 21-23 July 2011

The Dickens Society's sixteenth annual symposium, business meeting and dinner will be held at Saint Anselm College on the 21st through 23rd of July, 2011. Delegates will have the choice of on-campus housing or hotel accommodation in downtown Manchester with a shuttle to and from the College.

Paper proposals on any aspect of Dickens and his works are invited. Final papers should be readable in twenty minutes. Please send one-page proposals electronically, by attachment to Mark Cronin at mwcronin@ anselm.edu no later than March 31, 2011. Further symposium information and updates will be available on the Dickens Quarterly website (http://www. DickensQuarterly.org) and from hosts Mark Cronin, Office of the Dean, and Meoghan Cronin, Department of English, both reachable at Saint Anselm College, 100 St. Anselm Dr., Manchester, NH 03102. Scholars at all stages of their careers are encouraged to submit proposals, and graduate students may register for the symposium at a reduced rate.

The Robert B. Partlow, Jr. Prize

The award, either one stipend of $500 (or two of $300 if warranted), will be made annually to help defray costs of attending the Dickens symposium in order to deliver a paper on any aspect of Dickens's life or work. …
