Five months after being nominated by President Barack Obama, Janice Lehrer-Stein and Clyde E. Terry were recently confirmed as new members of the National Council on Disability (NCD) by the U.S. Senate. Ms. Lehrer-Stein is a national trustee of the Foundation Fighting Blindness (FFB) who's been an active supporter of its mission. She plans, as an NCD member, to help further FFB's work toward equal access, education, and opportunity for all Americans. Ms. Lehrer-Stein has a bachelor's degree from Yale and a juris doctor degree from University of Toronto. She practiced as a labor and employment discrimination litigator in Washington, D.C., and San Francisco, California. She is a member of the Board of Directors of Disability Rights Advocates, a nonprofit law firm, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of Medical Research Charities.

Mr. Terry is the chief executive officer of Granite State Independent Living in Concord, New Hampshire. Previously, he was the executive director of the New Hampshire Developmental Disabilities Council. …
