INTRODUCTION

Produced by Thirteen/WNET and Nelvana Limited, CYBERCHASE (www.pbskids.org/cyberchase) continues to win viewers and accolades for its innovative, interactive cartoon series that concentrates on mathematics. Designed for youngsters ages 8-11, CYBERCHASE is seen by more than 5 million viewers each week on more than 340 PBS stations nationwide. Funded by the National Science Foundation, PBS and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, among other sources, CYBERCHASE teaches students math fundamentals and builds problem-solving skills using engaging plots and innovative teaching strategies.

A website, with extensive supporting materials, offers teachers, students and parents numerous opportunities to extend learning with activities, resources and links for further exploration. Both parents and teachers will find the interactive materials stimulating for use with young people and straightforward to access as hands-on reinforcements to regular instruction.

THE FIFTH SEASON

The fifth season of CYBERCHASE is being launched this fall with a Halloween special in October and four episodes highlighting inventions in November. The Halloween celebration starts off with the following programs culminating in the newest episode, "The Halloween Howl":
