With this issue of The Journal of Development Communication, 21 years of publications will be completed. We must confess to our kind readers that it has not been an easy task. We have had to cope with steadily increasing production cost. Our additional problem has also been to find "quality articles", as well as to be in line with the updated trends of the present-day communication and journalism. We solicit more cooperation and contributions from the concerned authors and academicians. We are indeed very grateful to them.

Professor Royal D Colle of Cornell University, USA in his article "Investing Toward an ICT4D Impact" has re-emphasised the importance of ICTs for development. He has elaborately discussed how this has revolutionised in different sectors of the extension system. We welcome more contributions in line with Profesor Colle's paper.

Professor Neelam Bhardwaj and Kiran Yadav have presented a study in their paper to show how interpersonal communication and low cost communication media still command the supreme place although electronic media "has invaded all walks of life". This study is an effort to educate women through culturally compatible low cost media.

Professor Richard Shafer, Crispin Maslog and Madeline Suva have together undertaken a case study on "Conflicting Models in Mass Communication Education". With regards to the scenario of the Philippines, the authors have re-examined development journalism and development communication. Their study seeks to determine the current attitudes of development communication education.

Sha Li and Po-Lin Pan's article is based on a study which examined Chinese young adults' perspectives of Google's leaving, their perception of Google's reputation and possibility of future use of Google as search engine. …
