Purpose of Award

SCUP's Distinguished Service Award recognizes exceptional contributions to the activities and success of SCUP. Recipients are nominated and selected on the basis of their contributions to SCUP, length of service, and commitment to its purposes, goals, and activities. This award began in 1989.

Mary Doyle has been named the SCUP 2011 Distinguished Service Award Recipient. Doyle is the vice chancellor for information technology at the University of California, Santa Cruz and has held that position since 2008. Currently, her responsibilities include strategy and oversight for networking and telecommunications, applications and project management, learning technologies, client services and security, local support, and IT resource management. …
