Call to leadership

PDK is seeking visionary Kappan leaders to serve on the PDK International Board of Directors.

In April 2013, members will vote for president-elect and for board of director positions in Regions B and D. The deadline for submitting applications to serve on the board is Jan. 4, 2013. Members should watch for an email alerting them to when the balloting opens. All voting is done online during April and must be completed by May 1, 2013.

The newly elected officers will begin their terms July 1.

PRESIDENT-ELECT

Qualifications

Candidates for president-elect must be current PDK members and have been a member in good standing for the previous five consecutive years.

Commitment

The term of office for president-elect is six years: two as president-elect, two as president, and two as past president. Members of the board of directors are required to attend and participate in face-to-face meetings and quarterly conference calls. PDK covers all expenses to attend meetings.

REGIONAL DIRECTORS

Region B (Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Mexico, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas)

Region D (Africa, Central Balkans, Connecticut, Eastern Canada, Europe, Maine, Massachusetts, Middle East, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont).

Qualifications

Candidates for the PDK International Board of Directors must be current PDK members, must have been members in good standing for the previous five consecutive years, and have their primary residence in a state within the region. …
