Twitter, a social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages knows as tweets (text-based posts of up to 140 characters), has been used in political campaigning, legal proceedings, education, emergencies, protest and politics, public relations, reporting dissent, and to survey opinion. Part of its appeal is the challenge of trying to publish messages with such tight constraints.

Robert K. Blechman has taken up that challenge and has gone one step further with the publication of this book, a mystery composed on Twitter that contains 800 tweets posted over a 15-month period. The following are the first five tweets from the book's opening chapter.
