The Czech National IAML Branch has 24 institutional members from the Bohemia and Moravia regions, of which 12 significant libraries and documentation centres are also international members.

Colleagues from other libraries and music departments, as well as colleagues from the associated institutions, regularly participate in the events administered or co-administered by the Czech National Branch.

The most recent plenary session of the Czech National Branch took place on 19 October 2011 at the National Library, Prague.

The participants elected a new committee of the Czech National IAML Branch, headed by the chairwoman Zoja Seyckova, from the Bohuslav Martinu Institute in Prague.

Information on the international projects RISM, RILM, RIPM and RIDIM, in which many Czech institutions also participate, led by the National Library, was provided. Also presented was the new form of the website: /iaml/.

The Commission for Public Libraries informed those present that it had prepared written records for the licence negotiations within the so-called extended collective administration, which aims to resolve the matters pertaining to copying of sheet music for study purposes in Czech music libraries in favour of their users (the amendment to the Copyright Act is currently being discussed in the Czech Republic). …
