This year we have had three conferences in addition to the annual general meeting. The focus of the conferences has been "What's happening in the music libraries in the future and how do we deal with it?"

In September, we had a wonderful day in the south of Sweden at Linne University in Vaxjo, with seminars on their music manuscripts and ballad research, and also a presentation of a very popular radio program, called Onska! (Make a Wish!) from the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation, which aims to broaden the target group for classical music. In February, we had a conference about the future of music libraries in Sweden. In additional to the different guests from Sweden, we had the pleasure of having Johan Mijs as one of our speakers.

The general meeting took place in Tierp, north of Uppsala, and, at the Swedish center for the keyed fiddle, the Eric Sahlstrom Institutet in Tobo, we had the opportunity to listen to sessions about the keyed fiddle, enjoy a folk dance performance, etc. Important for all our conferences this year has been to focus on the future, and children is one of the most important target groups. Because of that, we spent a day with Anna Heikkinen to improve our skills in children's dances and songs. …
