This report is a compilation of activity and statistics for the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education for 2013 (Volume 77). The Journal is published in electronic format at www.ajpe.org. A print edition of the entire volume was produced and will be sent to all American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) member institutions and paid subscribers. One hundred fifty peer-reviewed manuscripts were published in 10 issues of volume 77, including theme issues on Charting Accreditation's Future and Student Leadership. Viewpoints, Letters, Addresses, Reports, Book Reviews, and other material (Table 1) also were published. Three-hundred ninety-one manuscripts were submitted to the Journal in 2013. Of these, 42% were accepted for publication. Approximately 450 individuals served as manuscript and book reviewers in 2013.

Two new Editorial Board members were appointed In 2013 for 3-year terms: Margatita DiVall (Northeastern) and Tyler Rose (Roseman). Naser Alsharif (Creighton), Alicia Bouldin (Mississippi), Brent Fox (Auburn), and Peter Hurd (St. Louis) were reappointed to the Board for a 3-year term.

Each year the best paper published in the Journal is recognized with the Rufus A. Lyman Award. The winner is selected based on utility and significance to pharmacy education, originality, research methodology, and writing style. The Lyman Award Committee, which is appointed by the AACP President and chaired by the Journal Editor, selects the top paper.
