This issue contains four articles and a recommended book. The articles focus on a variety of topics: the long-term and what the authors refer to as conscious capitalism: fairness in the workplace; Hispanic relocation decisions as influenced by gender and ethnic identity: and survival of CEOs in China.

Cheretis and Mujtaba, in the first article, explain how their management philosophy is likely to produce employee and customer loyalty and long-term success for the company.

In the second article, Mushonga, Thiagarajan, and Torrance, use data from 317 participants in a variety of organizations and industries to conclude that trust in supervisory justice plays a positive role in areas of performance, turnover, and overall citizenship behavior.

Chapa and Solansky, in the third article, provide helpful suggestions regarding Hispanic relocation. They maintain that gender identity affected willingness to relocate more than ethnic identity.

In the fourth article, Wei, Chen, Young, and Wang, conclude in their study of 1,131 Chinese financial listed companies that older and less educated CEOs were more likely to be dismissed. The authors recommend considering demographic characteristics and corporate governance arrangements to control CEO dismissal. …
