New Editor-in-Chief for the British Journal of Occupational Therapy

We are delighted to announce that Christine Craik has been engaged by the College of Occupational Therapists (COT) as the new Editor-in-Chief of The British Journal of Occupational Therapy (BJOT). Her appointment marks a new stage in the history of the journal, which will be published by SAGE Publications from January 2015.

Christine Craik is a highly respected educator and practitioner who has made an outstanding contribution to the occupational therapy profession. Formerly a manager of mental health occupational therapy services, she went to on to become Director of Occupational Therapy at Brunel University, London, where she was an academic for over 14 years. She was instrumental in establishing the University's College of Health and Life Sciences Centre for Professional Practice Research (CPPR), working in partnership with practitioners and service users to evaluate and promote best practice. She was awarded an Honorary Fellowship by Brunel University in 2013.

Christine has published extensively in BJOT and presents at conferences throughout the world. She was Chairman of the Council of the British Association and College of Occupational Therapists from 1992 to 1994 and was recently a member of BJOT's Editorial Board. In 2008 she was awarded a Fellowship by the College of Occupational Therapists in acknowledgement of her extensive service to the organization.
