During the year 2013, the number of members of the Swedish branch of IAML was 139, divided into 72 individual members, 21 seniors or students, and 46 institutional members. Thus the total number is the same as in the previous year, even if with a slightly different spread among the three categories.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) took place in April 2014 at The Royal Swedish Academy of Music in Stockholm. Up to that meeting, the Swedish National board consisted of Birgitta Sparre, Hagfors Public Library (Chair); Mathias Bostrom, The Centre for Swedish Folk Music and Jazz Research (Vice Chair); Kerstin Carpvik, The Music and Theater Library of Sweden (Secretary); Agnetha Wihlstrand, Karlstad Public Library (Treasurer); and Margareta Holdar Davidsson, Sveriges Radio Forvaltnings AB; Kia Hedell, Uppsala University Library; Ase Lugner, Malmo Academy of Music; and Pia Shekhter, Academy of Music and Drama, University of Gothenburg. The board was slightly reorganized after the annual meeting. Lars Landin, Music Library, Orebro University, replaced Agnetha Wihlstrand. Margareta Holdar Davidsson took over responsibility as Treasurer. 36 members attended the AGM. In addition to the AGM, the board met five times during the last year.

The AGM was part of a two-day get-together for members and interested non-members of the Swedish branch. This year we were happy to have three music librarians from Denmark attend our meeting. We spent the first day at The Royal Swedish Academy of Music and the second day at Swedish Music Information Centre (MIC) in Stockholm. During these two days there were presentations about Levande musikarv (Swedish Musical Heritage), a project initiated by the Academy of Music with the aim to increase the knowledge of Swedish music of the past and to improve the accessibility of this music through new editions for free, and about the work at MIC. …
