Maine Teen Wins Lights, Camera, Save' Contest Grand Prize

As part of America Saves Week in February, ABA announced the top three winners in its national Lights, Camera, Save! video contest.

Lights, Camera, Save!--launched in 2010 as an offshoot of ABA's Teach Children to Save program--is a unique competition that encourages kids to produce educational and entertaining videos to communicate the value of saving money. For this year's program, banks hosted 117 contests in 46 states for the local levels of the competition and selected a winner to represent their bank to compete at the national level.

The winning videos were revealed through a live broadcast on ABA's YouTube channel at www.youtube. com/user/americanbankersassn.

The judging panel, which consisted of personal finance and marketing experts, awarded Christopher Choyce the grand prize for his video, "Life of Savings." Choyce, from Denmark, Maine, was a national finalist after winning first place at the Norway Savings Bank branch in Norway, Maine.

"In only 41 seconds, Christopher's video takes you through one's life journey, exploring the endless possibilities once you start saving," said Frank Keating, ABA president and CEO. "Christopher's video will inspire other kids and teens to view savings as a life-long journey. …
