Following from the appointment of a new Chair to the Committee in July 2014, a new fixed membership was established to include balanced representation of a number of different territories. Current membership comprises: Claire Kidwell (UK), Anna Priscilla Winling (France), Kaie Viigipuu-Kreintaal (Estonia), Andreas Odenkirchen (Germany), Tammy Ravas (USA), Kyla Jemison (Canada), Philippa McKeown-Green (New Zealand), Katie Lai (Hong Kong), and Beatriz Magalhaes Castro (Brazil) Expressions of interest from potential representatives for Africa would be warmly welcomed.

The Committee was made aware of discussions that had taken place on the UK&Irl and German branch mailing lists in relation to scores that were purchased with download cards enabling access to audio files. In the past, these types of publications would probably have been sold with accompanying CDs that libraries could lend out to users with the score. However, the new format means that, in general, the audio files can be accessed only via download cards and can only be downloaded a single time. The associated licences do not permit redistribution. This "one purchaser, one user" licensing model is clearly incompatible with the operations of a library. …
