At the end of 2014, the Italian branch has 101 members (36 individual, 65 institutional). The four members of Board are Federica Riva, President; Annalisa Bini, Vice-President; Giovanni Dequal, Secretary, Federica Biancheri, Treasurer. The annual assembly 2014 was held on 16 May 2014 (see 2014 report). The first 2015 assembly was held in Florence on 22 May 2015.

The branch is excited to be hosting the IAML conference in Rome, 3-8 July 2016. The conference will take place at the Parco della musica, thanks to the cooperation of the Accademia Nazionale di S. Cecilia and the commitment of its media library, Annalisa Bini, head, and its staff.


In 2014, the Italian branch started a project to disseminate RILM online in Conservatory libraries, also looking at developing cooperation between R1LM-1taly and the courses on music bibliography, held by librarians in Conservatories (see 2014 report). In July 2014, the cooperation among the RILM central office, RILM-Italy, EBSCO, and the Italian branch led to the establishment of a consortium of ten conservatories; it is expected that the consortium will grow in 2015. On 26 March, our colleague Maria Grazia Melucci organized with Pinuccia Carrer (R1LM-1taly) the first R1LM seminar for conservatory students.


Contacts started in March 2014 among RISM, 1CCU, the Italian branch, and the Ufficio Ricerca Fondi Musicali della Biblioteca Nazionale Braidense (URFM) on two topics: the coordination of information between the SBN and the R1SM databases and a project on "libretti per musica". …
