The Southern Historical Association will hold its eighty-second annual meeting in St. Pete Beach, Florida, on November 2-5, 2016, Wednesday through Saturday. The printed program will be mailed to members this month, but details are already accessible on the new SHA website: thesha.org. The TradeWinds Island Grand Resort will serve as our headquarters hotel, and reservations can be made through the SHA website, which also lists several walking tours and off-site functions organized by the Local Arrangements Committee, chaired by Raymond O. Arsenault, University of South Florida, St. Petersburg.

Graduate students attending this year's meeting in St. Pete Beach are encouraged to attend the twelfth annual luncheon given in their behalf and sponsored by the John and LaWanda Cox Fund, at 11:45 on Thursday, November 3. The luncheon is free to students registered for the meeting; unfortunately, spouses, children, and other companions cannot be accommodated. Rather than being reserved in advance, tickets will be distributed to the first hundred students requesting them at the registration desk on-site. …
