Thomas Wolfe Society Meeting (May 22-24, 2015; Albany, New York): The Society held its thirty-seventh annual meeting at the Albany Hilton in Albany, New York, beginning with the Board of Directors meeting on Friday morning. That afternoon, Society President George Hovis opened the meeting, and he was followed by Mary Aswell Doll reading a passage from Of Time and the River for the prologue. The first session, moderated by Bryan Giemza, featured papers by Edwin M. Yoder ("Gant among the Hudson Valley Rich"), Caitlyn Kuzmich ("You Can't Go Home Again: Greed, Truth, and the American Identity"), and Sarah W Cummings ("Decadent Decay: The Complexity of Social Corruption, Consciousness, and Critique in Watchmen and You Can't Go Home Again"). Session 2 was moderated by Rebecca Godwin and offered "Animality in Look Homeward, Angel'" by Amy Augesen, "Thomas Wolfe and the Mythical Method" by Amelie Moisy, and "Thomas Wolfe and His Literary Apprenticeship," by Ruth Winchester Ware. On Friday evening, meeting attendees enjoyed a sunset cruise on the Hudson River.

In Session 3 (Saturday morning, 23 May), Anne R. Zahlan moderated a roundtable discussion, "Teaching Thomas Wolfe in the Twenty-First Century," with presentations by Paula Gallant Eckard, Joseph Bentz, Sarah W Cummings, Michael Curtis Houck, Dylan Nealis, Mark Canada, and George Hovis. …
