The 10th book in the Uncovering Student Ideas in Science series has great resources for teachers who want to teach about the Earth and its environmental processes.

Like the other Uncovering books, this one is divided into units and probes, similar to daily or short lesson plans. There are 32 probes in this book divided into four units: Land and Water; Water Cycle, Weather, and Climate; Earth History: Weathering and Erosion and Plate Tectonics; and Natural Resources, Pollution, and Human Impact. Each unit has a matrix showing where each probe fits regarding appropriate K-12 grade ranges.

The beginning of each unit includes the matrix, alignment to the Next Generation Science Standards, and related NSTA resources, including NSTA Press books, NSTA journal articles, NSTA Learning Center resources, and NSTA Science Objects.
