This issue marks Peter Hoehnle's last as editor of Communal Societies. Starting with the Spring 2015 issue, already well into production, Carol Medlicott will assume the reins as editor. Dr. Medlicott is an associate professor of geography at Northern Kentucky University and is a noted scholar of the Shakers. In 2014, Dr. Medlicott's book, Issachar Bates: A Shaker's Journey, received the Communal Studies Association's Publication Award. Medlicott has served as one of the journal's associate editors since 2010.

Associate editor Joshua Fleer, who teaches in the religious studies program at Oakland University, will remain on the editorial team. Joining the team as a second associate editor is Dr. Heather Van Wormer. Dr. Van Wormer is an associate professor of anthropology at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, a leading authority on the House of David and Mary's City of David, and she has served as board member and president of Communal Studies Association.

This issue also marks the last for longtime book review editor Ruth Lambach. Lambach's service to Communal Societies as book review editor began in 2003. …
