This personable account of climate change science explains what individuals can realistically do to combat carbon dioxide emissions. The text, written in the first person, relies heavily on the "I" and "we" aspects of climate change action.

Global Warming spends only one line on the "controversy" over whether climate change is real and caused by humans. The author acknowledges the debate, then states: 'The scientific evidence for [climate change] is overwhelming." Such evidence is presented in the form of data from scientific institutions along with graphs from the International Panel on Climate Change. A section entitled "Data Files" presents the effects of global warming. Rising sea levels, extinction events, and extreme weather are discussed in an overview.
