Wow! Just heading home after CONASTA 66 in Hobart, Tasmania. More than 500 delegates attended and, overall, the conference was a resounding success. There will be more details and reports in the next edition of Teaching Science, but this is an opportunity to thank all the people involved in the organisation and implementation of this event that provided high-quality professional learning throughout. The keynote speakers were all entertaining and informative. The program included some amazing excursions that made the most of the geology, geography and not to forget the gastronomy in and around the wonderful city of Hobart. Delegates and presenters embraced the conference theme (The Art of Science) and this helped to bring a clear narrative to the conference. It was great to see a number of 'graduates' from the STEM X Academy attending and contributing enthusiasm, innovation and expertise to the conference program. The whole team from the Science Teachers Association of Tasmania and the ASTA secretariat should be congratulated for giving us an inspirational event that will be remembered for a long time and will help to improve science education as the delegates return to their schools around the country. …
