National Association of School Psychologists

The site contains resources for school psychologists, teachers, parents, and their children. It includes information about conventions, regional activities reports from work groups, and position papers sponsored by the NASP.

American Psychological Association

The American Psychological Association (APA) claims to be the largest scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States and the world's largest association of psychologists. The site provides links to publications, position papers, and student development issues. Included is PsychCrawler, a search engine, created to provide quick access to content in the field of psychology.

Internet Mental Health Home Page

Internet Mental Health is an online encyclopedia of mental health information. The goal of this site is to "improve understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of mental illness throughout the world." The site includes information on the 50 most common mental disorders including the American and European descriptions, treatment information, and research on diagnosis and complications. In addition, the site includes information on the 65 most common psychiatric medications. The site includes links to other Internet based literature and sites pertaining to mental health.

National Mental Health Services Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN)

KEN is designed to be a one-stop source of information and resources on prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation services for mental illness. The National Center for Mental Health Services developed KEN for users of mental health services, the general public, policy makers, providers, and the media. KEN provides information about mental health via toll-free telephone services, an electronic bulletin board, and publications.

Mental Health Net

Mental Health Net is a guide to mental health, psychology, and psychiatry resources online. The site claims to index more than 8,200 refereed resources. The site includes connections to disorders and treatments, professional resources for the mental health worker, a reading room with chat areas, and information on managed care for mental health.

School Psychology Resources Online

This site contains online resources specifically for the school psychology community. Information on conditions, disorders, and disabilities such as learning disabilities, ADD and autism. There is information at this site on parenting, psychological assessment, classroom management, and special education. The site has handouts for parents and teachers and links to school psychology jobs and related online sites.

School Psychologists' Home Page

This site was created by the Office of Psychological Services, Barrow County School System, Cartersville, Georgia. The purpose of the site is to "increase the awareness of and interest in the field of school psychology." The site includes a crisis intervention manual, teacher/parent handouts, a question-and-answer forum, newsletter highlights, and links to other educational and mental health sites.
