Welcome to the second issue of Teaching Science for 2018.

As alluded to in my previous editorial, the production of the Teaching Science journal involves the collaborative efforts of many people--the ASTA staff, members of the editorial advisory committee, and members of the production team.

The members of the editorial advisory committee, in particular, I wish to commend for their work over the past few months in undertaking peer reviews of the numerous manuscripts that have been submitted to Teaching Science since mid 2017.

This important step is just the first of many stages that a manuscript has to be progressed through before it is featured in an issue of Teaching Science. For some manuscripts, this is a quick process, for others, it may take many months. The end result is a selection of top-quality articles appearing in our journal.

Looking forward, work will shortly commence with trialling the September issue on-line and, if successful, we will have our December issue available in both hard copy and on-line formats. More information about this exciting development as it comes to hand.
