MLA's Music Library Advocacy Committee

Article excerpt

MLA's Music Library Advocacy Committee is happy to announce the new Music Library Advocacy Group on Humanities Commons. For those unfamiliar with Humanities Commons, it is a nonprofit online network for humanities scholars to connect and share their work (for more info, see https://hcommons.org/about/). This platform was recommended to us by MLA Web Manager Katie Buehner as a flexible, stable, and user-friendly host for the advocacy resources that we want to offer to MLA members and the greater library community. These resources include:

--An advocacy discussion forum (click the "Discussion" link)

--A shared storage area for PDFs, slides, and other advocacy documents (click "Files" link)

--A space for crowdsourcing advocacy documents such as elevator pitches (click "Docs" link)

--A collection of links to advocacy resources online (click "Site" link and then "Advocacy Links")

If you are already a member of Humanities Commons: sign in, click "Groups" (in the left column), enter "Music Library Advocacy" in the search box, and then click "Join Group. …
