Another organization has been admitted to full membership in the International Federation of Environmental Health (IFEH): College van Keurmeesters of the Netherlands. The number of countries now represented by full membership is 29. There are also 37 associate members worldwide.

The IFEH initiated a donation drive in 1998 to create an environmental health library in support of a new degree program for environmental health professionals in Tanzania. The donation drive has been publicized previously in the Journal and at the 1999 Nashville Annual Educational Conference (AEC). As of January 11, 2000, the total of donations received was $20,301 (12,688 pounds sterling), applied toward the goal of $80,000 (50,000 pounds sterling).

Organizations and individuals in the United States have donated $3,379. Other large donations have come from the United Kingdom ($6,997), Northern Ireland ($4,661), and the Republic of Ireland ($3,630). Donations have also come from Cyprus, New Zealand, Norway Scotland, Singapore, and Wales. …
