The Peter and Edith O'Donnell Endowment in the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation provides grants to aid scholars doing research at the George Bush Presidential Library. Research must include, but not be limited to, holdings of the George Bush Presidential Library.

The O'Donnell Grant Program is administered on behalf of the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation by the Center for Presidential Studies in the George Bush School of Government and Public Service.

The program awards grants ranging from $500 to $2,500.

Each application is evaluated by library archival staff to ascertain that there is material at the library appropriate for the research topic. A panel of scholars from the George Bush School of Government and Public Service and administrators from the George Bush Presidential Library and Museum and the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation reviews the applications and decides on funding and funding levels.

Funding priority will be given to proposals that have the greatest likelihood of publication and subsequent usefulness to educators, scholars, students, and policy makers. …
