MEMBERANDUM

In his 1961 Inaugural Address, President John F. Kennedy ignited the imaginations of a restless generation when he said, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country." While ACEI is not a country, it is a global village of people with purpose. As a professional membership association, ACEI is its members. The governing structure consists of a member-elected Executive Board, 18 committees, and the State/Province Presidents' Council. Guided by these leaders and Headquarters staff, the work of the Association is carried out by its members.

Membership dues are viewed as a special stewardship. Each dollar is precious and every expense is carefully evaluated against ACEI's mission, which is to:

Promote and support in the global community the optimal education and development of children, from birth through early adolescence, and to influence the professional growth of educators and the efforts of others who art committed to the needs of children in a changing society.

The work of ensuring the education and well-being of the world's children is vast. …
