ABSTRACT: The Parapsychology Foundation, Inc. (PF) is proud to this year celebrate the 50th anniversary of its founding in December 1951 by Eileen J. Garrett and the Honorable Frances P. Bolton. From a position of strength established by Eileen J. Garrett and Frances P. Bolton--great personal friends--the PF has evolved into a professional partner for the scientific and academic communities involved in the study of parapsychology and a source of information for the general public.

Eileen J. Garrett was noted for her pioneering work in scientific psychical research. A gifted clairvoyant, she took part in important investigations and experiments beginning in the 1920s, which included working with J. B. Rhine in the 1930s and other luminaries in the field that continued until her death in 1970. Apart from her own psychic work, she was an author, lecturer, and publisher prior to the establishment of the Parapsychology Foundation.

Frances P. Bolton, PF's cofounder and benefactress, had a long and distinguished career in public service as she served with distinction as United States Congresswoman from Ohio for 28 years. Perhaps best known for her work on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, she served as the Congressional Delegate to the United Nations and was especially active in African affairs. …
