Article excerpt

This issue brings a variety of interesting and timely works on all the aspects that are reflected in our association's name--spirituality, ethics, and religion and values in counseling. As always, we appreciate authors sharing their questions, observations, perspectives, and interpretations. We hope you, our readers, find something of interest, and we invite your submissions on these and similar issues regarding counseling.

Professional writing takes expertise, time, and dedication, and it is a pleasure to be a part of this sharing process. Our editorial board members play a vital role in building our journal, manuscript by manuscript, issue by issue, volume by volume. I salute our board members for their careful and conscientious work. Some of them have toiled arduously for many years, and it is typically a professional pleasure to share reviewer comments with our authors. As we start 2002, in the middle of this volume year, we come to a point of transition on our editorial board. Thank you, Albert Agresti, Michael Altekruse, Faith Deveaux, Michael Garrett, Janice Holden, Richard Kinnier, Wayne Lanning, Patricia Ledyard, Joan Looby, Erik Mansager, Radha Horton Parker, Rebecca Powell-Stanard, Duane Reinert, and Volker Thomas.

As Faith, Janice, Patricia, and Joan move on to new professional activities in other venues, we extend special thanks for their respective contributions to Counseling and Values, our association, and our profession. …
