Editorial Comment: Making a Difference. (from the Editor)

Since September 11, 2001, I have seen many students who have tried hard not to let the events of the past several months affect their lives. Yet all of their lives have been affected. During these times of uncertainty and rapid change, I am reminded of how resilient the human spirit is--and how fragile. I have seen counselors in many settings volunteer their time and energy to reach out to others in need. I have also seen clients simply reaching out for anyone who will believe in them. I am struck by how much a counselor can do for others-and by how much more remains to be done.

The Journal of College Counseling (JCC) represents one small contribution to the profession. As a counselor, my practice has benefited as I have relied on the suggestions contained in its pages. For that benefit, I thank each contributor to JCC. You have volunteered your time and energy to inform others through your writing, and your work is making a difference.

However, so much more can be done. To facilitate the ongoing development of JCC as a high-quality professional resource, I ask for your feedback.
