"The Premier Southwest Regional Environmental Health Conference"

This year's New Mexico Environmental Halth Conference (NMEHC-2002) is organized around five educational session tracks: Water Resources. National, Regional and Local issues; All hazards Emergency Preparedness and Response: Environmental Implications; Environmental Health Protection: Air Quality, Solid, Liquid and Toxic Waste; Surface and Groundwater and Food Supply Safety & Protection; Emerging and Persistent health Problems: Causes, Effects, Prevention and Protection; and Pollution Prevention, Energy Efficiency and Sustainability. Each of these tracks will have a focus on specific topic areas such as new technologies, research, development and deployment, the environmental health impacts of land use and development and urban sprawl, disease and exposure prevention, vector control, environmental justice and equity, planning management, education, regulatory and remediation issues and much more...

Last year, NMECH drew over 650 participants from 21 states and Mexico, 100 presenters and over 60 exhibitors. NMEHC-2002 expects to have over 700 attendees and over 70 exhibitors. Participants come from federal, state, local and tribal government, research and analytical laboratories, universities and high schools, many private companies, professional associations, and the community in general. …
