ITEA Standards Translated into Japanese

The Standards for Technological Literacy document was recently translated into Japanese. Dr. Hidetoshi Miyakawa of Aichi University of Education in Japan, a visiting ITEA scholar for one year with the Standards Project, began the effort several years ago. Later, the Japanese equivalent of the National Academy of Engineering became interested, resulting in the document shown here. ITEA is currently working with a group from China to have the Standards translated into Chinese.

CTTE Awards

Congratulations to the recipients of the following CTTE awards:

Paul W. DeVote, DTE and Donald P. Lauda, DTE received Honorary Memberships in recognition of their distinguished leadership to CTTE and the technology education profession. Mark Sanders (Virginia Tech) was recognized by his colleagues for many years of outstanding leadership to the profession with the Outstanding Technology Teacher Educator of the Year Award. Mark also received the CTTE Outstanding Research Award for his research on technology education practice in the U.S., published in the Journal of Technology Education. Hassan Ndahi (Old Dominion University) won the CTTE Research Incentive Award for a research study entitled "Delivering Technology Education Laboratory Courses Through Virtual Means. …
