Jan. 24: In Libya, US Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan met with Libyan head of state Mu'ammar Qadhdhafi to discuss mobilizing African-Americans to influence US elections. [1/25, 1/26 WP]

Feb. 9: Opposition sources reported that a court issued death-sentences to 12 officers convicted of participating in the 5 October 1993 uprising in Bin Walid, west of Tripoli. [2/13 FBIS]
