At its November meeting, the board of trustees elected new members to replace those whose terms were scheduled to expire at the end of 2005. The trustees who rotated off the board were C. Phillip Barger of Waynesboro; Susan B. Goode of Norfolk; Eddie N. Moore, Jr., of Ettrick; Alan M. Voorhees of Alexandria; and Anne R. Worrell of Charlottesville. The board expressed its appreciation for the service of these colleagues and welcomed the new ones who will succeed them.

Lloyd U. Noland, III of Newport News graduated from the University of Virginia and earned an MBA from the Wharton School. He is chairman emeritus of Noland Company. He is also a member of the board of Wachovia Corporation, Woodberry Forest School, and the Jamestown/Yorktown Foundation and is a former chairman of the board of the Mariners' Museum.

Thomas G. Slater, Jr., of Richmond is a partner at Hunton & Williams, where he has practiced law since 1969. A graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, he earned a law degree from the University of Virginia. He is a director of Tredegar Corporation. …
