Apr. 16: In violation of 15 April 1992 UN sanctions, a Libyan airliner flew 115 pilgrims to Jidda, Saudi Arabia. The sanctions, imposed in connection with the 1988 bombing of Pan Am flight 103, prohibited all flights to and from Libya. [4/17 NYT]
