Your Editor's Inaugural Note

In April 2005, founding Editor Mike Butler passed the editor's baton to me, and I hope to carry it well. With the able assistance of a fine team, I am confident the Journal of Legal Economics will continue the tradition initiated by our Editor Emeritus.

Over the last twelve months JLE has experienced many changes. Some changes are quite visible and other changes, while less visible, are equally important. The first and surely a sine qua non change was the relocation of the JLE office from the University of North Alabama (UNA) to the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). The ongoing support by Dean Louis G. Pol and the UNO College of Business Administration is greatly appreciated.

The JLE office team has expanded, with sustained contributions from Chris Heaton and Toysan Reed, located at UNA, as well as significant new contributions from Lous Thomas and Michial Farmer, located at UNO. The hidden contributions of JLE's many reviewers are critical to the success of the journal. Even more changes in JLE's team will take effect for volume 13, issue 3, following the American Academy of Economic and Financial Experts (AAEFE) Board of Directors' annual meeting.

Along with becoming editor, I also took up the task of web master for both the journal and AAEFE and have managed an expansion of the web presence of both.
