This book offers concordances to the early thirteenth-century collections of saints' lives and associated writings that make up respectively the `Katherine Group' and the `Wooing Group'. It forms a companion volume to the same authors' (with the late Jennifer Potts) Concordance to Ancrene Visse, MS Corpus Christi College, Cambridge 402 (Cambridge, 1993), and is presented very much according to the same model: in the main concordances, forms are situated by manuscript, text, and folio and line numbers, and a line of context is provided; all instances of each form are given in full, up to a total of 236 occurrences, beyond which `High Frequency' lists can be consulted for summary information. The texts of the Katherine Group (lives of Saints Katherine, Margaret, and Juliana, and Hali Meidhad and Sawles Warde) are those found in Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Bodley 34, with lacunae supplied from London, British Library, MS Royal 17 A. …
