Academic journal article Political Research Quarterly
The old cliché that "time flies when you are having fun" certainly applies to our experience as editors of the Political Research Quarterly. After six years, this is the final issue of the journal for which we have editorial responsibility. We have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to edit PRQ, and wish to thank everyone who facilitated our efforts. First, we thank our editorial assistants who did consistently terrific work handling an ever increasing flow of manuscripts, and took the lead in organizing editorial board meetings and social functions. In alphabetic order, they are Ashley Boothe, Eric Juenke, Todd Nicholson, Helen Stockstill, Lisa Uhlir, Nicole Villescas, Junfeng Wang, and Hillary Zwolinski. We also thank Lynda Roberts at the University of Utah whose work producing the journal was simply superb. Also, we gratefully acknowledge the generous support given by the Western Political Science Association and our universities, the University of North Texas, and the University of Texas at Dallas and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Together, the WPSA and the three universities provided the finances and facilities required to edit a major general journal such as the PRQ.
The WPSAs support of the journal has been truly excellent, and we wish to thank presidents Valeria Martinez Ebers, Bill Haltom, Barb Norrander, Tim Kaufman-Osborne, Ron Schmidt, treasurer Gill St. Clair, and all of the other executive council members for their generous assistance. No mention of assistance provided by the WPSA would be complete if we did not single out executive Director, Betty Moulds, and Associate Director, Eisa Favila, for special mention. Betty and Eisa have been extremely helpful, and we are both grateful and fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with them. …
