Since 1996, CPHA has worked in partnership with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) to support global commitments made at the 1994 International Conference on Population and Development. Advocacy for the right to universal access to basic primary health care services, including family planning and sexual health, has been one of CPHA's International Program priorities since 1990.

This year marks the active beginning of our new Zambia Family and Reproductive Health Project (ZFRHP). The project strives to increase utilization and improve the quality of integrated reproductive health services in Zambia and to strengthen the relationship between the community and health service providers. The 5-year project (2001-2006) is fully supported by CIDA.

Two Zambian non-governmental organizations: the Churches Health Association of Zambia (CHAZ) and Planned Parenthood Association of Zambia (PPAZ), will guide project implementation in country. …
