We would like to take this opportunity to update our readers on recent changes that have occurred in the editorship of the MPAEA Journal of Adult Education (MP Journal). Darrel Hammon recently assumed the role of President of Miles Community College and as a result asked to be replaced as editor of the journal. We wish to take this opportunity to thank Darrel for his excellent work as editor; his dedication to the field of adult education has been exemplary. The new editors of the MPAEA Journal of Adult Education are Pamela A. Dupin-Bryant and Andrew G Shinkle.

As the new editors of the MP Journal we would like to formally introduce ourselves. We are both assistant professors at Utah State University. Pam works at Utah State University Tooele and Andy works at Utah State University Brigham City. Both Andy and Pam received their Ph.D. in Adult Learning and Technology from the University of Wyoming. As the new editors we are excited to be part of the great tradition of the MPAEA Journal of Adult Education and look forward to working with authors to provide timely, pertinent manuscripts that add to the field of adult education.

In addition to the new editors, the MP Journal has several new editorial board members (see inside front cover). Also, Pamela J. Clark from Kemmerer, Wyoming has been selected to serve as copy editor. We are fortunate to have so many dedicated professionals assisting us as we strive to publish a journal worthy of our membership.

This issue of the MPAEA Journal of Adult Education features four excellent manuscripts. The Development, Testing, and Evaluation of an Emotional Intelligence Curriculum, by Fischer and Fischer reports research which tested an emotional intelligence curriculum in a higher education setting. …
