This volume contains two great research manuscripts and one Techniques article. "The Relationship between Demographic Factors and Continuing Education of Retirees in Pocatello and Chubbuck, Idaho" by Su-Chuan Chao and Fowler Charles Humphrey looks at continuing education and and the quality of life of retirees in two Idaho cities. "Mentoring Makes Sense: Try It" by Kevin Laughlin and Martha C. Yopp will help organizers of mentoring programs integrate effective mentoring practices into classrooms, communities, and the workplace. Jeff Whittingham, Cheryl Wiedmaier, and Ann Witcher talk about developing reading skills for the workplace in their Techniques article.

This is the last volume of the Journal that we will have the great privlige of editing. As editors we have greatly enjoyed working with all the new and experiecned authors over the past few years. It is truly fun to be part of this great tradition. We are hopefull that MPAEA will soon find new editor(s) for this outstanding Journal that serves such a great organization and the dedicated members that serve the profession of adult education. …
