The Winter Edition of the MPAEA Journal of Adult Education is the first that originates from Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC). I am personally pleased that the Journal is at LCSC, the Journal's new home for the next five years. LCSC is a small state college that offers four-and two-year degrees and certificates and is one of Idaho's leaders in distance and continuing education and workforce training.

One criterion I included in our proposal to edit the Journal was that we would utilize our college educational programs and students to help because "connecting learning to life" is important to us. We want our students to engage in practical experiences while attending LCSC. Consequently, we have enlisted Diane Driskill and Nancy Jasper's Printing Technology program and the Education Technology Center (Doris Miles). They helped design and publish this edition of the Journal.

We feel it is imperative that students play leadership roles in producing the Journal as a way to incorporate practical learning experiences. They are responsible for the design, layout, and printing. Two graphic art students, Keri Smith and Stephen Peters designed the publication.

Additionally, I am pleased to announce that Sue Hewson, a Business Administration student, has been selected as an intern for the Journal. She will be the Editor's Assistant for the next three issues or until she graduates. She will practice her business administration skills by organizing all manuscripts to be sent to the Editorial Board, working with the Printing Technology Program in arranging for manuscript placement, and performing other administrative duties. …
