The first three volumes to appear in this series (reviewed in MM, 69 (2000), 58f. and 72 (2003), 144Q are now followed by four further volumes relating to Occitan manuscripts, in the context of an analysis of the tables of the manuscripts of the Romance lyric tradition. The study of the manuscript in its own right is now becoming a focus for young Italian scholars, and, just as the study of the tables themselves has made great progress, as seen by these four volumes, there are also full studies already published: the analysis of MS H by Maria Careri (1990) was complemented in 2000 by that of Elizabeth Poe. …
