A near miracle happened at dinner. We were invited to dinner by members of a foundation that has generously contributed to the support of TheatreForum. Suddenly we were asked if we would like to print TheatreForum in color. They would increase their grant to cover the additional printing costs. We jumped at the offer and you will see the results in this issue. We are very grateful to the LEF Foundation for making color possible.

Thanks to them we are able to print two eight-page sections in color. We hope in the future, with additional funding, to increase the number of color pages. Because TheatreForum is dedicated to documenting and discussing innovative and provocative theatrework, we feel it is important, if possible, to print in color to give a more accurate understanding of the visual aspects of a productions. After all, most productions are not simply shades of gray.

As always, this issue includes two play scripts. In Vodka, Fucking, and Television by the Ukrainian Maksym Kurochkin, the Hero attempts to achieve a more focused life by getting rid of at least one of his three addictions. Kurochkin himself plays the character of Television. The other play, The Unmentionables, a satire by Bruce Norris, presents Americans in Africa where their do-good attitudes are sorely tested. …
