The Team-Building Tool Kit could best be described as an extensive guide that reveals much more than the reader thought that they needed to know to assure the operation of a successful team. Deborah Mackin manages to guide the reader beyond theory and provides a very practical and handson approach that addresses all the dynamics of team functioning.

A number of charts are provided that assist in selecting members and developing and implementing a plan of action. The reader is then able to review a process that assists with defining responsibilities and receives concrete tools for effective organization.

Many suggestions are offered to assist with navigating potential team issues and better defining responsibilities. Insights are provided to help the reader in managing behaviors, dealing with potential conflict, and finding solutions to special issues that may arise. …
