FMA's Asian Conference will be a new type of meeting for FMA International - smaller than our traditional meetings and operating only a few high-quality concurrent sessions, but will still incorporate the unique features of FMA's other meetings, including:

* Submitted papers selected by a program committee

* Prominent emphasis on "bridging theory and practice" with specific interest in describing and evaluating current financial and economic conditions in the region

* Ample opportunities for participants to meet one another in a social setting

* Doctoral symposium similar to the other FMA meetings
