The first year of Creative Nursing 's collaboration with Springer Publishing Company, including our new look, expanded length, and online version, has been a great success.

We presented nurses' experiences of their calling to the profession, explored nursing's links to social justice, reported on coaching for professional success, and, in this issue, feature nursing around the world as well as nurses in unique roles and sett ings.

You are invited to join us-as readers and as writers-for Creative Nursing 2009. Our four issues for 2009 will have an overarching theme of time: how we perceive it; how we use it; and the effect of time constraints on the care we give as well as on our work lives and our personal lives.

Our first issue, due out in February, will focus on work complexity. All our material is complete for this issue. The second issue, due out in May, with a deadline of January 1, will be about new science (e.g., the move from Newtonian physics to chaos theory, especially as it relates to relationships and partnerships). The third issue, due out in August, with a deadline of April 1, will be about resources (especially time management, staffing, and scheduling). …
